The design of the Saurines Golf course bears great resemblance to the desert courses of Las Vegas and Arizona also designed by Jack Nicklaus, but with a philosophy of linked holes. It is characterized by undulating fairways between sand dunes and greens with impressive moldings, few bunkers and a large central lake.

The greens in Saurines are some of the best in the area, many of them are uphill from the fairway which adds a touch of difficulty when approaching. The course is in the 39th position of the Best Courses in Spain, classified by "Top 100 Golf Courses".

With the addition of the new practice area, which consists of two greens, an approach area and a bunker along with one of the largest pro shops in Spain, this course will continue to rise in the ranking.

Since its inauguration in 2011 it has already become a benchmark in the area.
