Like its sister course, Mijas Los Olivos golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior. 

The course was opened in 1983, and underwent a total renovation in 2001.

Shorter and tighter than its sister course, Los Olivos takes its name from the olive trees which line the fairways.
